The U.S. Department of Justice states that identity theft and identity fraud are terms used to refer to all types of crime in which someone wrongfully obtains and uses another person's personal data in some way that involves fraud or deception, typically for economic gain. Fraud/Identity theft is the fastest-growing white-collar crime.
This course covers the various types of identity theft and identity fraud being committed against individuals. The Types of Fraud consist of:
• medical identity theft
• driver’s identity fraud
• identity cloning
• internet fraud
• criminal fraud
• credit/financial identity theft
• phony identity theft prevention services
• phone fraud
This category of crime devastates our lives; affecting not only our finances, and our credit status but also our health … our wellness. Through our training, we will provide you with the necessary methods to stop these fraudsters in their tracks, both preventive and proactive, to gain back wholeness in the lives of the victimized.
